Modular air handling units do not have their own cooling or heating source. They rely on cold or hot water or steam as a medium. These units handle air filtration, heating, cooling and humidification. They also perform noise reduction, heat recovery and fresh air treatment. For example, in a secondary return air system, the unit filters fresh air and removes dust. After initial heating, the air enters the spray room for wet heat treatment. Cooling, dehumidification and secondary return air mixing complete the entire process.
Functional parts of modular air handling units
a.Fresh air ventilation section: This section includes supply and exhaust fans with heat exchange cores. The heat exchange core transfers temperature between indoor exhaust and outdoor fresh air.
b.Filter section: This section provides three levels of filtration: primary, intermediate and advanced. It includes diamond bag filters and automatic winding filters. The filter uses high-quality polyester non-woven fabric. Includes a quick assembly and disassembly mechanism. This section also has a pressure display and alarm.
c.Fresh air and exhaust section: This section is also called a flat-top mixing section, which is equipped with a primary return air baffle, and exhaust ports and fresh air inlets with regulating valves are provided before and after the baffle.
d.Energy recovery section: This section performs cross-flow air mixing and energy recovery. It includes a main return air damper and an energy recovery device. The device uses exhaust gas to indirectly cool or heat fresh air. Fresh air passes through the plate energy recovery device. It can recover about 60% of exhaust heat energy.
e.Cooling coil section: The cooling coil uses copper tubes and aluminum fins, with 4 to 8 rows. The aluminum fins have double flange corrugated edges. The large elbow heat exchanger reduces the welded elbows by 60%. This design improves heat exchange efficiency. Advanced mechanical tube expansion ensures optimal contact.
f.Silence section: The micro-perforated plate silencer is made of 1mm thick metal plate with a perforation rate of 1%~3% and a hole diameter of less than 1mm.
e.Cooling coil section: The cooling coil uses copper tubes and aluminum fins, with 4 to 8 rows. The aluminum fins have double flange corrugated edges. The large elbow heat exchanger reduces the welded elbows by 60%. This design improves heat exchange efficiency. Advanced mechanical tube expansion ensures optimal contact.
